Integration

Mythradon’s Integration capabilities allow administrators to set up Mythradon so that users can access data in third-party services and systems from directly within Mythradon. The goal of system integration is to streamline and simplify communication between both internal and external systems. System integration helps accelerate the flow of information, reduce time spent on inefficient processes and cut back on operational costs.

Integration Wall Paper

Currently Mythradon supports out-of-the-box integration with Google Maps and Twilio.

Note: Please contact Mythradon support if you require integration with additional systems or services.

Google Maps Integration

Google Maps integration allows users to select and validate addresses and display address positions on Google Maps using an address pin. This functionality is available on any entity that has an address field and is displayed in the entity Detail View.

Google Address Integration

To enable Google Maps integration you will need a Google API key. In order to obtain a Google API key you need to have a valid Google or Gmail Account.

  • Log into https://console.cloud.google.com/
  • Select APIs & Services | Credentials as per the following image:

Google API Credentials 1

This displays a list of all the API Keys that you have enabled. We suggest creating a new API key for use in Mythradon.

  • Click the CREATE CREDENTIALS button
  • Select the API key option as per the following image:

Google API Credentials 2

  • Google will create a new API Key and display this on the screen. Just click the CLOSE link. We can get this key later.

Google API Key 1

  • This key was unrestricted. Mythradon highly recommends adding the following restrictions to your API key:
  • Click on the newly created API key 1 record in the list
  • Rename the key to a more meaningful name such as Mythradon Maps API as per the following image:

Google API Key Name

  • Click the HTTP referrers (web sites) radio button as follows:

Google API Add Referrers

  • Selecting this option will display additional fields. Here you can specify the domain of your Mythradon instance. This will ensure that your Google API Key can only be used in your instance of Mythradon.
  • Add the value https://<YourMythradonDomain>/* into the referrer field. (Replace the <YourMythradonDomain> with your actual Mythradon domain).

We suggests that you add further restrictions on the API key:

  • Click the Restrict key radio button and individually add each of the following:
  • Directions API
  • Geocoding API
  • Maps JavaScript API
  • Maps Static API
  • Places API

That completes the creation of a Google API key. Copy your API key as you will need to enter that into Mythradon.

In Mythradon:

  • Select Administration | Integrations from the Menu Button
  • Select Google Maps from the list
  • Click the Enabled checkbox
  • Set the appropriate properties and click the Save button.

Note: Refresh your browser once you save the key (Ctrl+F5)
