Access Control Level¶
Overview¶
The Mythradon Access Control is all about controlling access to your Mythradon system for internal users, API users and portal users. It controls what functional areas of the application and data that users can access.
Mythradon Access Control consists of:
The functionality of these items is designed for use by your System Administrator/s.
Roles¶
Roles
are used to group application functionality and permission restrictions. Roles
, define which Entities it will allow access and what actions can be performed on each of the Entities such as:
- Create - the ability to create records
- Read - the ability to view records (on List and Detail views)
- Edit - the ability to update records
- Delete - the ability to remove records
- Stream - the ability to view a record's stream. Click here to learn more about Stream.
Roles
can then be assigned to standard Users. A User can have more than one Roles

Permissions by Default
By default, Users have minimal access. They need to be assigned Roles to grant specific access levels.

Note: Roles are used for regular users and API users. They are not available for Portal Users. Refer to Portal Roles for managing Roles for external portal Users.
Users¶
Users
are people who can log in and use the system. You can manage your organisation internal users, or you can connect external users via Portal using Mythradon. Click here to learn more about User Management.
User Authentication¶
Mythradon provides a number of Authentication Settings that your system administrator can set to meet your business security needs. This includes:
- Passwords restriction rule.
- 2-Factor Authentication Setup.

Teams¶
Teams
are group of internal users and API users. You can use Teams
in conjunction with Roles
to control access to your records. You can assign Roles
to a Team
, all users belong to the Teams
will have the Roles
of that Team
.

Portal Roles and Portal Users¶
Mythradon allows you to connect external users who are not a part of your organisation to Mythradon via Portals. You can create and customise Portals to your clients according to your business needs.
You can restrict Portal Users to certain entities and Mythradon functionalities that are relevant to them by using Portal Roles. Click here to learn more about how to set up Portal Roles and Portal Users.
API Users¶
Mythradon allows other application access the platform via API Users. API Users are created to restrict the level of access to Mythradon via API.
