Global Email Filters

Overview

Email filters in Mythradon allows users to:

  • Prevent specific emails from being imported
  • Automatically catalog incoming emails into a specific folders

Mythradon supports both Global and Personal email filters. Global email filters will be applied to all inbound emails across all email accounts. Personal email filters are only applied to the users' own email account.

Global email filters can only be set up by System Administrators.

Creating Email Filters

To create a new Email Filter:

  • Navigate to Administration → Email Filters via the Menu Button

  • Click the Create Email Filter button
  • Complete the form using the property descriptions below
  • Click Save to create the filter

Email Filter Properties

Property Description
Name A user-friendly name for the filter.
Is Global If enabled, the filter applies to all incoming emails in the system. When selected, the Parent field is not required. This option is only available to users with Administrator permissions.
From Filters emails sent from the specified address.
To Filters emails sent to the specified address.
Parent The entity this filter applies to (e.g., a user, personal email account, or group email account).
Action Specifies the action for filtered emails: Options:
  • None
  • Ignore
  • Put in Folder
Mark as Read If enabled, marks emails matching the filter criteria as Read upon arrival.
Folder If Action is Put in Folder select the folder to place the email in.
Subject Filters emails where the subject contains specified text. Wildcards supported:
  • text – starts with text
  • text – contains text
  • text – ends with text
Body Contains Filters emails where the body contains specified text. Wildcards supported:
  • text – starts with text
  • text – contains text
  • text – ends with text
