This section is designed to provide quick answers to common questions about using Mythradon—whether you're a new user getting started, a system administrator managing setup and configuration, or a business looking to better understand the platform's capabilities. From login and security to CRM, portals, integrations, and support, these FAQs will help you make the most of Mythradon's powerful and flexible features.

General

What is Mythradon?

Mythradon is a cloud-based business operations platform designed to help organisations manage customer interactions, streamline internal workflows, and automate key business processes. It supports CRM, portals, integration, and custom development.

Who uses Mythradon?

Mythradon is used by businesses of all sizes—from small manufacturers and service providers to larger organisations—looking for flexible tools to manage leads, contacts, cases, inventory, workflows, and more.

Is a server or software installation required to use Mythradon?

No, Mythradon is a fully cloud-based platform. There is no need to install any software or maintain your own servers.

You can access Mythradon securely from any modern web browser. All infrastructure, updates, backups, and maintenance are handled by our team, so you can focus on using the platform without any IT overhead.

This makes Mythradon easy to deploy, scale, and manage across your organisation—whether your team is in the office or working remotely.

Where is my data hosted when using Mythradon?

For Australian customers, Mythradon hosts all data in secure Equinix data centres located in Sydney. These facilities offer high levels of physical and network security, redundancy, and performance. Data residency within Australia ensures compliance with local data protection regulations. For customers in other regions, hosting options can be discussed to meet jurisdictional or organisational requirements.

Can I back up my own data?

Yes, you can. While Mythradon performs regular system backups to ensure smooth daily operations and can automatically restore data in the event of a system failure, many clients choose to maintain their own backup routines as part of a broader data management and security policy.

Mythradon provides tools that allow your System Administrators to generate their own backups at any time. These include:

  • Database Backup — Exports the database data and full SQL Data Definition Language (DDL) needed to recreate and load your system's data into a SQL-compliant database.
  • Metadata Backup — Captures your system configuration, including custom fields, entities, relationships, page layouts, formulas, and more.
  • Template Backup — Provides copies of email and notification templates used throughout the system.

Both Metadata and Template backups can be restored into the same environment or into a different environment. This flexibility is especially valuable when promoting configuration changes or updates between environments—such as from Development (DEV) to Testing (TEST), or from Staging to Production.

This feature supports a more streamlined and controlled change management process, helping ensure consistency across environments while reducing the risk of manual errors during deployment.

Files and other data can be accessed via our REST based API.

These self-managed backups provide an extra layer of control and assurance, particularly for organisations with specific compliance or auditing requirements.

Customer Support

How can I request support from Mythradon?

There are two ways to request support, depending on whether you have an existing Mythradon account:

  • If you have a Mythradon account
Log in to the Mythradon Customer Portal to submit a support case. You can track the progress of your requests, view past cases, and access helpful resources.

  • If you don't have a Mythradon account
Use the Contact Form on the Mythradon website to get in touch with our team. We'll respond to your enquiry as soon as possible and help you get the support you need.

💡 Tip: The Customer Portal is the fastest way to log and track support cases if you're already a user.

Themes

Can I change the look and feel of Mythradon?

Yes, Mythradon offers a range of themes that allow you to tailor the visual appearance to suit your preferences or your organisation's branding guidelines.

Themes control key aspects of the user interface, such as colour schemes (including both light and dark modes) and menu positioning. System Administrators can define the default theme applied across the organisation, while individual users have the flexibility to override these defaults through their personal User Preferences.

This means users can select the theme that best suits their working style or visual needs, without impacting other users.

🎨 For setup instructions and previews of available themes, see:

Note

System Administrators may find it easier to support the system if the end Users are unable to change their menu themes. They have the option to disable users from changing their themes.

Note

For consistency and ease of support, System Administrators may prefer to enforce a standard menu theme across all users.

To support this, Mythradon provides an option to restrict users from changing their personal theme settings, helping ensure a uniform look and feel throughout the organisation—particularly useful in training, support, or regulated environments.

Can I change the Mythradon logo to my company logo?

Yes, you can replace the default Mythradon logo with your own company's branding.

The logo displayed throughout the application—such as in the header, login screen, and portals—is configurable. Your System Administrator can upload a custom logo to better align the system with your organisation's identity.

This is especially useful for enhancing the experience for internal users, customers, and partners.

🛠️ For step-by-step instructions, see:

Can I change the application name?

Yes, the application name displayed within Mythradon can be customised to reflect your organisation's branding or internal naming conventions.

Your System Administrator can update the application name, which appears in the browser tab, login screen, and various system-generated messages. This is particularly helpful for businesses operating multiple environments (e.g. Production, Test, Sandbox) or for those wanting a more personalised user experience.

Users and Security

How do I create User accounts?

Creating and managing User accounts is a task reserved for System Administrators. They have full control to:

  • Create new User accounts
  • Activate or deactivate existing Users
  • Assign roles, teams, and access permissions

This ensures that only authorised personnel can access your Mythradon environment, and that Users have the appropriate level of access based on their responsibilities.

🛠️ For detailed instructions, see:

Does Mythradon support multi-factor authentication?

Yes, Mythradon supports multi-factor authentication with TOTP, Email and SMS. This can be enabled individually per User account or enforced across the system to all User accounts.

🛠️ For detailed instructions, see:

How do I control what Users can access?

Mythradon supports the ability to control what functionality a User can access using a combination of Roles and Teams. Mythradon support data access from entity to individul field level. Mythradon also supports Roles specific to portal users.

🛠️ For detailed instructions, see:

Can I set up company-wide password policies?

Yes. If you're using the standard Mythradon authentication method, System Administrators can configure global password policies that apply to all users within your organisation.

These policies can enforce requirements such as minimum password length, character complexity, and password recovery settings.

🛠️ For full setup details, see:

Does Mythradon support LDAP?

Yes, Mythradon fully supports LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) for user authentication and management.

LDAP integration allows your organisation to:

  • Authenticate users against an existing directory service (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory or OpenLDAP).
  • Automatically create and update user records in Mythradon based on LDAP attributes.
  • Apply filters to control which users can log in.
  • Map LDAP attributes such as name, title, email, and phone number to Mythradon user profiles.
  • Optionally allow LDAP-based authentication for Portal Users.

LDAP support includes SSL/TLS security, flexible account canonical forms, and team assignment rules during user creation.

🛠️ For setup and configuration details, see:

Does Mythradon support OpenID Connect?

Yes, Mythradon supports OpenID Connect (OIDC) for secure, standards-based authentication through third-party identity providers.

With OIDC, your organisation can:

  • Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) using providers like Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace, or any OIDC-compliant identity platform.
  • Automatically create or update user accounts in Mythradon at login based on identity provider claims.
  • Map identity provider roles or groups to Mythradon Teams.
  • Enforce team-based access and user provisioning rules.
  • Optionally allow fallback login with standard Mythradon credentials if needed.

OIDC support enhances security and simplifies access management across multiple systems using your existing identity infrastructure.

🛠️ For configuration details, see:

Does Mythradon support password recovery?

Yes, Mythradon supports password recovery, but it depends on the authentication method in use:

  • Standard Authentication – Password recovery is supported. Users can reset their password using the Forgot Password link on the login page (if not disabled by an administrator).
  • LDAP Authentication – Password recovery is managed externally (e.g., by your organisation's IT team via Active Directory or OpenLDAP). The Forgot Password link is not functional for LDAP users.
  • OIDC (OpenID Connect) – Password recovery is also managed by the identity provider (e.g., Azure AD, Okta). Mythradon does not store or reset passwords for users authenticated via OIDC.

🔐 System Administrators can configure or disable password recovery features globally for internal and portal users.
