Setting Up a Payment Gateway

Note

To enable Stripe as your payment gateway within Mythradon, you must first have an active Stripe account.

Don't have one yet? Click here to register with Stripe and complete the setup process.

Once your Stripe account is ready, follow the steps outlined in Configuring Payment Gateway Settings to link it with Mythradon. This configuration allows Mythradon to securely process payments, handle transactions, and log any gateway-related events in the System Logs.

Paying Sales Invoices with Stripe

Mythradon allows both internal system users and external portal users to pay Sales Invoices securely via Stripe. This provides a convenient, integrated payment experience directly from the invoice record.

Who Can Use Stripe for Invoice Payments?

  • Internal Users: Must have appropriate permissions (see below).
  • Portal Users: Must have access to the Sales Invoices through the customer or partner portal.

How to Pay a Sales Invoice Using Stripe

  1. Locate the Sales Invoice you wish to pay. It must have a status of either Issued or Partly Paid.
  2. Click the Pay via Stripe button.
  3. You will be redirected to the secure Stripe Checkout page to complete the payment.

Stripe Payment Gateway Checkout

The Stripe Payment Gateway Checkout will display the Mythradon Sales Invoice number, Amount to be paid and the email address associated with the Billing Account or Contact.

Once payment is completed, the invoice status and payment history will be automatically updated within Mythradon.

Tip

You can customise the appearance of your Stripe checkout page to match your brand.

Visit Stripe Branding Settings for more information.

Permissions & Role Requirements

Internal User Permissions

Internal users must have Edit scope on the Sales Invoice entity defined in their Role settings to access Stripe payment functionality.

Portal User Permissions

Portal users must have Read scope on the Sales Invoice entity in their Portal Role settings to initiate Stripe payments.

This integration streamlines the payment process and improves the customer experience by enabling fast, secure invoice payments directly through the Mythradon platform.

Reviewing Payment Gateway Processing Errors

Mythradon automatically logs any Stripe processing errors—such as failed transactions, declined payments, or API communication issues—in the System Logs. These logs provide detailed information to help diagnose and resolve issues related to payment processing.

To maintain smooth transaction flows and minimise customer impact, it is recommended to:

  • Regularly review the System Logs for any payment-related errors or anomalies.
  • Filter by Process or Severity in the logs to quickly identify critical Stripe-related issues.
  • Track and assign relevant log entries for follow-up by your finance or support team.

For proactive monitoring, you can also contact Mythradon Customer Support to configure automated notifications based on specific log types or exception patterns-ensuring you're alerted immediately when important payment gateway errors occur.
