Tax Classes¶
Mythradon supports multiple Taxation Classifications. The Taxation Classifications are used to define the appropriate tax rate to be applied for the Line Items in Quotes and Invoices and also for records in Products entity.
Create a Tax Class¶
By default, there are 2 tax classes:
- Tax Free: The tax rate for this class is 0 percent.
- Australian GST: The Australian Good and Service Tax. The rate for this class is 10 percent.
To create a new Tax Class:
- Click
Tax Classfrom main menu bar.
Note
If the user can not see the Tax Class from your menu bar, the Administrators need to allow Tax Class in the user's role and make it visible in UI Settings.
- Click
Create Tax Classbutton. - Set the appropriate properties and click
Savebutton. Please see the Properties table below for more information.

| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the tax class. |
| Percent | This is also the tax class. The percentage of a product price will be charged as tax. |
| Status | Status of a tax class, there are 2 values: Inactive and Active. |
| Xero Account Code | This field is only available if the Xero Accounting Integration App is licensed and installed. This field needs to be added to the user interface using the Layout Manager. This field is used to map line items (via tax class) to Xero account codes. Defaults to 200 if not set. |
| Description | A user-friendly description of the tax class. |
Once a tax class is created, you can select it from Product, Quotes and Invoices.
